If you can reach the grocery with a twenty-minute walk then go ahead and do so and do not let yourself fall back on the temptation of simply driving there. Walking is always an excellent way to exercise and now with a secondary purpose, you may find that you do not mind exercise too much already since it has become useful in more ways than one.
Boring Exercise Makes You A Boring Person
Life is too short to spend too much time on boring tasks so if you have to exercise, then make sure that it can be as fun as it gets. If you find yourself tired of working on the same old treadmill day after day and need social interaction to feel properly enthusiastic about the activity then, by all means, ditch the treadmill and go enroll yourself in an aerobics class or something that requires group activities. If you need some healthy rock ‘n’ roll music to spruce things up then, by all means, pump up the volume and while you’re at it, work on those muscles of yours too!
Exercise is Fun!
Stated in such a way, it does seem an impossible task to achieve, is not it? It’s like asking an inmate to look forward to the day he will be executed by lethal injection or asking a woman to be pleased when the man she loves breaks up with her or… but enough with the analogies as I’m sure you get the point already. But in this case, I assure you, it is entirely possible. You can make your workouts and doing exercise routines the highlight of your day if you follow the few tips we have in store for you.
Make use of the features of the exercise equipment you are using!
Companies have been trying their best to improve the features of the exercise equipment they’ve been periodically releasing to the market. If you have money to spare or you are already using a high-end model for a treadmill, for instance, be sure that you take advantage of the features provided. For some high-end treadmill models, for example, there’s a book stand for those who would love to read while working on a treadmill. With a book stand, there’s no need anymore to hold the book on one hand while working on the treadmill, a feat that’s not only difficult but quite unsafe as well.
Combine Your Exercise With Daily Tasks
If you believed that exercise routines are restricted to playing sports, spending time on gyms or doing stuff outdoors then you thought wrong. In fact, big mistake because if any of those had been the reason why you are reluctant to exercise then you have wasted a great deal of time already, my friend.
